Information Technology

Welcome to the Group 2 Information Technology Department. Our purpose is to ensure that all members and units are able to accomplish their missions with the highest levels of technical support.

Getting support

The largest issue we hear from users about is access to their email via Office 365. Wing IT has done a fine job of making this as easy as possible. All you need to do is go to O365 Tools and enter the required information.

If you have another issue, the best place to get support is from the CAWG Help Desk. IT staff will receive your ticket and be able to help you in the most efficient manner.

For ITOs

Please ensure that you are familiar with CAPR 120-1, Information Technology Security. This regulation is the primary resource for how IT is managed. If your unit receives a new computer, please contact the group ITO for instructions on how to ensure it is protected and secured.

Domain redirection

By now, your new NHQ platform websites are up and running. To point your old sq##.cawgcap.org address to the new site:

  1. Log into your old site's CPanel console. If you do not have the credentials, check with your Commander or the Internet Operations tab in eServices.
  2. Click the Redirects button in the Domains section of the console.
  3. Create a permanent (301) redirect for all public domains and redirect it to your new cap.gov site. Leave Wild Card Redirect unchecked.
