San Jose Civil Air Patrol Member Selected as NASA Solar System Ambassador

SAN JOSE, CA. – 2nd Lieutenant Kailash Kalidoss, an Aerospace Education Officers for San Jose Senior Squadron 80 of the Civil Air Patrol was selected as the newest Solar System Ambassador by NASA. Lieutenant Kalidoss is the second member of his squadron to have been given this honor since 2017.
Lieutenant Kalidoss is also a Safety Officer for his squadron and contributes to the Emergency Services mission of Civil Air Patrol by holding the Mission Scanner rating; additionally, he is training for the rating of Mission Observer. Outside of Civil Air Patrol, Lieutenant Kalidoss is a student pilot, holds multiple academic degrees including an MBA and a Master of Science in Engineering. Professionally, Lieutenant Kalidoss works in the medical device industry where he contributes his talents in multiple phases of the release of new products.
